(Romans 11:29, II Timothy 1:9, I Thessalonians 4:16, Revelation 4:2)

I sit staring at that empty chair; is it a bad thing that you're not there?

For if you fill another seat, make someone else's life complete

For it's a good thing, I wish you well and though that chair's an empty shell

Still it's a good thing...such a good thing

But while you're gone, please know this true, no one can fill that chair but you

Your smile, your laugh shall not depart, your words are hidden in my heart

Your life, my friend, is not a whim; each word you pen begins with Him

So may they echo for all time, in every verse and every rhyme

For it's a good thing...such a good thing

And it's my wish to have you near, but friend, I speak this most sincere

If it's more needful that you go, then let His Living Waters flow

For it's a good thing to share His Word so that His Mighty Truths are heard

But still, my friend, it is my prayer; you come and fill that empty chair

For it's a good thing...such a good thing

And one last thought I wish to speak, empty chair's not always bleak

When in the clouds Our Lord we meet, for one brief time He'll leave His seat

The Father will not have concern for with His Bride, Christ will return

To live with Him as His joint heir, no more to face and empty chair

And it's a good thing...Oh, such a good thing!
